Which Hearing Aid Brand Is Best? 2026 Comparison of the Newest AI Models

There is no single best hearing aid brand. Every major manufacturer now makes an AI hearing aid, and the right one depends on your hearing test, the places you need to hear in, and how you like to charge and stream. This guide compares the newest model from each major brand we carry, with the prices listed on our site, so you can narrow the field before you try them on.

Short answer: if speech in noisy restaurants is your main problem, start with the premium AI models (ReSound Sensia 9, Phonak Eon Sphere, Signia Pure Charge&Go MaX 7, Starkey Omega AI+, Oticon Reveal). If you want something nearly invisible, look at custom and instant-fit styles. Then try them, because how a hearing aid sounds to you matters more than any ranking.

AI features are optional: on or off, it's your choice

The AI in these hearing aids is a feature, not a requirement. You can use each of them as a hearing aid with the AI features on or off. Depending on the model, AI programs or features can be switched on or off in the brand's app, and your provider can turn them on, off or adjust them when programming your hearing aids.

At your fitting, we'll show you how it works on the model you choose, so you can decide when you want AI helping and when you don't.

What to Consider Before You Decide

  • Your hearing test. Your audiogram decides which styles and power levels can work for you. Without insurance, a hearing test is $99, and we accept most insurance.
  • Where you struggle. If restaurants and group conversations are the problem, compare the premium AI levels side by side.
  • Charging and streaming. All of the models above have rechargeable versions; ask which phones and TV accessories each one streams from.
  • Total cost. Our listed price includes the hearing aids and your fitting fee. Follow-up visits and other services are priced separately, and a 36-month lease financed through PatientFi is available on our financing page.
  • Returns. Hearing aids have a 45-day return window. A 10% non-refundable restocking fee and a $25 non-refundable shipping & handling fee apply. See Returns & Shipping.

Matching a Model to Your Needs

  • Noisy restaurants and groups: compare ReSound Sensia 9, Phonak Eon Sphere, Signia MaX 7, Starkey Omega AI+ and Oticon Reveal.
  • Longest time between charges: Phonak Eon Sphere (up to 38 hours) and Signia MaX (up to 30 hours).
  • Discreet or custom fit: Starkey Omega AI+ custom styles (ITE, ITC, CIC, IIC) or Signia Silk Charge&Go IX.
  • Lower starting price: ReSound Sensia 4 is listed at $1,047.50.

Your hearing care provider will confirm which of these fit your hearing test results.
